One critical line of defense against Huanglongbing (HLB) and the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) is to monitor trees in residential areas that neighbor commercial groves. The Abandoned Citrus Tree (ACT) removal program is a partnership between Bayer and California Citrus Mutual (CCM) meant to identify and get rid of those trees. The Fresno Bee reports that so far, Tulare and Ventura counties have benefitted from the program in a big way.
